Synthesis of thioamides via one-pot A3-coupling of alkynyl bromides, amines, and sodium sulfide

Abstract

We herein describe a novel method for the synthesis of thioamides by a three component condensation of alkynyl bromides, amines, and Na₂S·9H₂O. The developed method is applicable for a wide range of amines and alkynyl bromides bearing different functional groups furnishing the corresponding products in moderate to excellent yields.
