Ag2O modified g-C3N4 for highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen generation under visible light irradiation
Abstract
Ag2O modified g-C3N4 (Ag2O/g-C3N4) was synthesized by a facial hydrothermal reaction. The as-prepared Ag2O/g-C3N4 shows efficient photocatalytic properties for hydrogen evolution from water splitting under visible light irradiation. The rate is about 274 times higher than that of pure g-C3N4, and is even better than that of Pt/g-C3N4. More importantly, Ag2O/g-C3N4 also demonstrates a relatively good recycling stability for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
