Synthesis of a ternary FeNi2S4/CNT/graphene nanocomposite with improved electrochemical properties
Abstract
In this paper, a simple one-pot method is achieved for preparation of a FeNi2S4–CNT–graphene nanocomposite, which displays robust connection among ternary components. Compared with the counterparts without CNT, the FeNi2S4–CNT–graphene nanocomposite demonstrated significantly improved electrochemical properties. Especially, in addition to its high specific capacitance (725 F g−1 at 10 A g−1, 3.63 F cm−2 at a current density of 50 mA cm−2), a cycling test employing FeNi2S4–CNT–graphene as the electrode material demonstrated a capacity retention of about 88% after 2500 charging–discharging cycles. The superior synergistic effect among the three components was demonstrated, making it a promising candidate for next-generation supercapacitors.
