High-yield and rapid synthesis of ultrathin silver nanowires for low-haze transparent conductors†
Abstract
Ultrathin silver nanowires (Ag NWs) have been rapidly synthesized by using NaBr and AgCl as conucleant, with a high yield of 90%. The average diameter and length of Ag NWs is 30 nm and 11 μm, respectively. The resulting conductor exhibits high ratio of DC conductivity to optical conductivity of 162, low sheet resistance of 12.2 Ω sq−1 at 83.3% and low haze of 0.96% at 95.7%.
