Abstract

A stereospecific three-component domino reaction between glycals, alkylidene malonate and aldehydes catalyzed by Yb(OTf)₃ is described. Multi-substituted cis-fused perhydropyrano[2,3-b]pyran derivatives were obtained with high diastereoselectivity.
