A carbon dot-encapsulated UiO-type metal organic framework as a multifunctional fluorescent sensor for temperature, metal ion and pH detection

Abstract

Here, we reported the fabrication of a carbon dot (CD) encapsulated UiO-type metal organic framework (MOF) via a facile solvent-free synthesis strategy. The as-prepared CDs@UiO-66 composites exhibited excitation wavelength independent fluorescence behavior, and can serve as multifunctional fluorescent sensors for temperature, pH, and Fe3+ ion detection.
