Organic nanocages: a promising testbed for catalytic CO2 conversion†
Abstract
N-rich all-organic cages remain unexplored for CO2 fixation. Herein, shape-persistent amine/imine cages were employed for the metal-free, cycloaddition of CO2 with epoxides to cyclic organic carbonates under solvent-free reaction conditions. A structure–activity relationship with the mechanistic details of CO2 conversion was explored.
