Reversibly/irreversibly stimuli-responsive inks based on N-heteroacene liquids†
Abstract
Herein, we report on novel room temperature fluorescent liquid materials PyL and BzL, which can respond to an HCl molecule by changing their electronic properties such as colors and emission colors. The acid-responsive behavior for PyL and BzL strongly depends on substituted π-conjugated rings, and can be applied to reversibly/irreversibly stimuli-responsive inks for security.
