The construction of a 2D MoS2-based binder-free electrode with a honeycomb structure for enhanced electrochemical performance†
Abstract
MoS2 with a two-dimensional morphology has been recognized as a promising electrode material due to its good electrochemical activity. An integrated electrode has been achieved by growing MoS2 on nickel foam with a nanosheet morphology and honeycomb structure. This binder-free MoS2/Ni3S2/NF electrode has demonstrated a specific capacity of 300.26 mA h g−1 (0.61 mA h cm−2) at 1 A g−1 with 73.8% retention at 20 A g−1, while maintaining good electrochemical stability during 4000 charging–discharging cycles.
