A π-stacked pure organic material with room temperature phosphorescence†
Abstract
Triphenylamine and triazine are employed to construct a pure organic room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) material (TPATA) with an A–(π-D)3 structure. TPATA exhibits full spectrum photoluminescence by adjusting the polarity of solvents and can even realize visual sensing of halogenated solvents. The photoluminescence band of crystalline TPATA is located at 485 nm, which can make up for the weak luminescence of commercial white LED devices in this region, and it is expected to be applied in LED devices imitating the solar spectrum.
