A stable and high-voltage-resistant inorganic/polymer double-layer electrolyte for LiCoO2-based all-solid-state Li batteries†
Abstract
Lithium phosphorus oxynitride (LiPON), as an intermediate layer, can address the poor compatibility that exists between the LiCoO2 cathode and the polyethylene oxide (PEO) electrolyte. At the cut-off voltage of 4.5 V, the as-assembled all-solid-state Li battery with the inorganic/polymer bilayer electrolyte delivers an initial discharge capacity of 173 mA h gā1 and 87% capacity retention rate after 100 cycles.
