Manganese Electrode for All-Solid-State Fluoride Batteries

Abstract

We investigate MnF3 as an electrode material for all-solid-state fluoride batteries. The initial discharge capacity due to defluorination was 535 mAh g−1. Manganese was confirmed to be reduced and oxidized during charge-discharge measurements. Metallic Mn was also reversibly fluorinated and defluorinated as a starting material.
