Hydrodechlorination under O2 Promotes Catalytic Oxidation of CVOCs over Pt/TiO2 Catalyst at Low-temperature
Abstract
A novel strategy to promote abatement of CVOCs at low temperature by hydrodechlorination under O2 was proposed. Turnover frequency and HCl yield in oxidation of vinyl chloride respectively increased by over 22 and 43 times (225 °C) with the assistance of 1000 ppm H2. A new chemical equation (CH2=CHCl + H2 + O2 → CO2 + HCl + H2O) was used to describe the reaction.
