Preparation of sodium-ion cathode materials with excellent performance using a Co3O4-modified conformation strategy

Abstract

This work introduces a strategy using Co3O4 modification of O3-NaNi0.4Fe0.2Mn0.4O2 to design a sodium-ion layered oxide cathode with outstanding electrochemical performance and stability. Different physicochemical characterizations and electrochemical tests were conducted. The reinforced transition metal layer creates larger space for sodium-ion accommodation and slows the phase transition process.
