Modifying Mn3O4 by CeO2 for enhanced electrocatalytic water oxidation

Abstract

A simple anion-assisted cathodic co-electrodeposition method is used to prepare CeO2-modified Mn3O4 nanoflakes on carbon cloth. The CeO2 modifies the redox properties of Mn3O4 and enhances its intrinsic OER performance. It requires a low overpotential of 266 mV to reach 10 mA cm−2 in 1.0 M KOH.
