Visible-light triggered Cu-catalyzed C–H bond activation to afford isocoumarin and isoquinolinone scaffolds at room temperature

Abstract

We report a visible light-induced copper salt-mediated novel approach for the synthesis of a series of isocoumarin and isoquinolinone scaffolds including 27 new compounds at room temperature for the first time in excellent yields without any additive, ligand template, external oxidant or photocatalyst.
