Permanently porous oligoMOFs and polyMOFs of MIL-53†
Abstract
Enhancing the porosity of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) typically relies on substituting their organic ligand components. Here, we show that cross-linked terephthalate ligands yield oligoMOF and polyMOF versions of MIL-53(In) in which pressure-dependent phase transformations no longer occur. These materials show enhanced uptakes and CO2/N2 selectivity, while retaining the overall MIL-53 framework.
