A camellia-like CoOx/SCN heterostructure with maximized interfacial adsorption energy exhibits an unprecedented 19.1-fold activity enhancement for light-driven imidacloprid degradation compared to bulk CN, and maintains exceptional stability over multiple reaction cycles. This is attributed to the coordination bond Co–N–C as an “electron bridge” facilitating charge transport across the interface.
