A dual-function europium sulfite-oxalate complex for proton conduction and fluorescence sensing for Fe3+ ions
Abstract
In this study, a europium(III) sulfite-oxalate complex (compound 1) with a three-dimensional structural arrangement was synthesized by hydrothermal method. Notably, compound 1 exhibited excellent pH and luminescence stability and demonstrated the capability of detecting Fe3+ in water by using fluorescence bursts. The proton conductivity of compound 1 reached 9.48 × 10-5 S·cm-1 at 98% RH (relative humidity) and 75 °C. By studying the crystal structure, fluorescence, and proton conductivity properties of dual-function inorganic-organic hybrid materials, this study provides an important reference for the future development of dual-function inorganic-organic hybrid materials.
