A solid xantphos macroligand based on porous organic polymers for the catalytic hydrogenation of CO2†
Abstract
Porous organic polymers enable a novel approach to incorporate xantphos into a solid macroligand. Immobilizing a ruthenium complex on the xantphos framework results in an excellent catalyst for the hydrogenation of CO2 to formic acid. Recycling experiments indicate a minor partial degradation of the heterogenous catalyst after a certain induction period, which is referred to its structural changes.
