Photocatalytic reductive coupling of furfural into deoxyfuroin on mesoporous TiO2

Abstract

Two-step photocatalytic transformation of furfural into deoxyfuroin was achieved via the initial homocoupling of furfural into furoin over mesoporous TiO2 and photocatalytic transfer hydrogenolysis of C–OH in the furoin over Cu/TiO2 hybrid system.
