Recent progress of facilitated transport membranes for CO2 capture: a bibliometric study based on Web of Science database
Abstract
Membrane based CO2 capture has been considered as promising alternatives due to its high efficiency and small footprint, among which, facilitated transport (FT) membranes have gained more attention due to its potential of breakthrough the “trade-off” restriction. Great progress has been made in developing FT membranes in the past decades. In this study, a bibliometric study based on Web of Science database has been carried out with the topic of ‘FT membranes and CO2 capture’. The results were visualized and analyzed using HistCite Pro, VOS viewer and CiteSpace software. The development of FT membranes CO2 capture in different countries, institutions, authors and journals were systematically analyzed. Furthermore, burst words of FT membranes were also plotted and discussed in the period of 1990-2024, this work can be interesting for beginners to quickly know the research statues of FT membranes all over the world, it is also helpful for experts predict the future development of FT membranes based CO2 capture.
