About this collection

A collection of reviews and research papers focusing on the latest advances in analytical science for neurochemistry. Better understanding neurochemistry of the brain is necessary for improving treatments of neurological and psychiatric diseases. Analytical sciences plays an important role in this field, with the design of novel instrumental tools to detect neurotransmitters and other biologically-active molecules in the brain. Recent efforts in electrochemical sensing, micro-separation sciences, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopic techniques further advances our capacity to measure molecules in the brain.

This collection is Guest Edited by Analyst Associate Editor Jean-François Masson (University of Montreal, Canada), Parastoo Hashemi (University of South Carolina, USA) and Martyn Boutelle (Imperial College London, UK).
