Regio- and stereoselective C–H alkenylation of pyridines with silyl-substituted internal alkynes using a half-sandwich scandium catalyst†
Abstract
The regio- and stereoselective C–H alkenylation of pyridines with silyl-substituted internal alkynes has been achieved by using a half-sandwich scandium catalyst. This protocol provides an atom-efficient and straightforward route for the synthesis of various silyl-functionalized alkenyl pyridines, featuring broad substrate scope, high yields and excellent regio- and E-selectivity.
