A cofacial, dimeric, metallaoxophlorin complex: [lndium(III)(octaethyloxophlorin)]2

Abstract

The X-ray crystal structure of [lnIII(octaethyloxophlorin)]2 shows that the centrosymmetric dimeric structure places the planes of the two macrocycles 3.25 Å apart but causes only minimal distortion to the porphyrin-like cores of the molecule.
