Abstract

The reaction of either [InH₃(NMe₃)] or LiInH₄ with an excess of the imidazol-2-ylidene carbene, :C [upper bond 1 start] N(Prⁱ)C₂Me₂N [upper bond 1 end] (Prⁱ), affords the first example of an indium trihydride complex, [InH₃{CN(Prⁱ)C₂Me₂N(Prⁱ)}], the X-ray crystal structure of which is described.
