Imma perovskite-type oxynitride LaTiO2N: structure and electron density

Abstract

We present the first example of Imma perovskite-type oxynitride. LaTiO2N was found to have an Imma perovskite-type structure with a0bb tilt system. The Ti–(O,N) covalent bonding and existence of N atoms are responsible for the reduced band gap of LaTiO2N photocatalyst.
