Abstract

Treatment of primary or secondary alcohols with 1-phenyl-1(H)-tetrazole-5-thiol and [Me2NCHSEt]+ BF4− leads directly and cleanly to 1-phenyl-1(H)-tetrazol-5-yl sulfides.
