Tb3+-triggered luminescence in a supramolecular gel and its use as a fluorescent chemoprobe for proteins containing alanine

Abstract

A tetracarboxylic acid-appended thiacalix[4]arene-based ligand with Tb3+ formed a supramolecular gel which showed novel fluorogenic sensor capability for probing alanine and proteins containing alanine.
