4CzIPN-catalyzed radical-initiated cascade cyclization for the photosynthesis of polysubstituted quinolin-3-amines†
Abstract
Substituted quinolin-3-amines are essential cores of many natural products and bioactive molecules. Here, an expedient method, which employed 1,2,3,5-tetrakis(carbazol-9-yl)4,6-dicyanobenzene (4CzIPN) as a photocatalyst to realize the radical-initiated cascade cyclization reaction of isocyanides, was developed for the synthesis of quinolin-3-amines. A wide range of polysubstituted quinolin-3-amines were successfully constructed in moderate to good yields.
