Dearomatization of indoles via palladium-catalyzed carbonylation using Co2(CO)8 as the carbonyl source leading to carbonyl-containing spiroindolenines†
Abstract
A Pd-catalyzed carbonylative dearomatization of indoles using Co2(CO)8 as a safe CO source has been reported. This research provides an atom-economical and straightforward approach for the efficient construction of carbonyl-containing spiroindolenines in moderate to good yields. The protocol features a simple catalytic system, operational safety, easy scale-up and versatile transformations.
