In this research work, we investigated the possibility of using mixtures of monoisotopic elements (93Nb/89Y, 165Ho/159Tb and 209Bi/197Au) as calibrators for accurate determination of isotope ratios by multicollector mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS).

Quantification capabilities of N2 MICAP-MS with solution nebulization and aerosol desolvation

An improved digestion coil arrangement for high-pressure microwave-assisted flow digestion

A large heated volume (22 mL) digestion coil for high pressure flow digestion was developed. By using computer simulation of the microwave field, the coil geometry was optimized for uniform absorption of microwave radiation along the digestion coil.

A convective heated digestion system with closed vessels: a new digestor for elemental inorganic analysis

A CHDS with closed vessels is now available as a simple, fast and safe alternative for sample preparation for trace element determination. The analytical performance in terms of residual carbon, accuracy, precision and LODs was demonstrated.
